Houston Apartment Locators Group ("we", "us", "our") collects the information you give us so we can run an apartment search for you. That typically includes:

Your name, phone number, and email address
Your budget, move date, preferred areas, and commute
Search-relevant circumstances you choose to share — pets, income type, or rental, credit, and background history
Messages you send us by form, text, phone, or chat
Standard website analytics data such as pages viewed and referring source

We do not ask for a Social Security number, a full date of birth, or bank details. A property may ask for those on its own application, which you submit to the property, not to us.

To confirm screening criteria with properties before you spend an application fee
To schedule tours and follow your application through to a decision
To answer your questions by text, phone, email, or chat
To help with move-in items such as an electricity plan or renters insurance

3. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it's needed to do the work you asked for:

With apartment communities you ask us to contact or apply to, so they can register your referral and process an application
With our sponsoring brokerage, Spirit Real Estate Group, LLC, for supervision and compliance
With service providers who run our website, forms, and messaging on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations
Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request

4. How we're paid, and what that means for your data

Our service is free to you. An apartment community pays us a referral fee after you sign a lease, and your rent is the same either way. To be paid, we register you as our referral with the community you're applying to — that is the point at which your name reaches the property.

5. Data retention

We keep search records for as long as we need them to serve you and to satisfy Texas Real Estate Commission record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we'll do so unless we're legally required to keep it.

6. Your choices

Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
Ask us to delete your information
Opt out of any marketing message at any time by replying STOP or telling us

Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. Write to us using the contact page and we'll honour any request the law gives you.
