Complaints against real estate license holders may be filed with the Texas Real Estate Commission. TREC investigates written complaints against license holders and inspectors for violations of the Real Estate License Act, Rules of the Commission, and the Inspector Act.

Real Estate Recovery Trust Account
The Texas Real Estate Commission administers two recovery funds which may be used to satisfy a civil court judgment against a broker, sales agent, or real estate inspector, if certain requirements are met.
